NACC Summer Hosting Program

NACC SUMMER HOSTING PROGRAM OF KIM IN CALIFORNIA USA

The National Authority for Child Care's (NACC) Summer Hosting Program is an annual program that allows Filipino children to spend their summer in the United States with host families. The program is part of the NACC's efforts to find permanent families for children and sibling groups who are eligible for inter-country adoption.

Month of August to September 2024, the National Authority for Child Care (NACC) hosted seven children, including one from the House of Refuge, in a month-long hosting program. The initiative aimed to provide the children with enriching family experiences and the possibility of adoption or foster care.

After spending a month in the U.S.A., engaging in family life and local activities, the children returned home. The child shared many unforgettable experiences he had in the U.S., stating that he wants to go back. He added that they ate a lot, enjoying different cuisines, and visited various places. He also brought some pasalubong from the staff, which we truly appreciate. After a month, the child from the House of Refuge was welcomed back by the staff, who ensured a smooth transition
